Chimney Register Plates & Access Installation
Some chimneys are not lined and when swept, soot gathers on top of the register plate and is a fire hazard if it isn’t removed. The register plate needs access hatches preferably on each side of the flue so access can be made to gather the soot on top of the register plate.
